| Other: He was born in Pennsylvania, the son of Kaspar and Anna M. Roth Zinhon; they were both natives of Germany, and settled in PA then Adams County Ohio. In 1864 he enlisted in the Union Army, with Company C, One Hundred Eighty Eighty Ohio Volunteer Infantry and was honorably discharged after eight months in Columbus Ohio. He was married in 1870 to H.M. Fitzpatrick, daughter of James and Ellen Gifford Fitzpatrick. He moved to Dearborn County IN in Nov 1876 and purchased a farm.
